Warm Bamboo Massage

Bamboo massage is a massage whereby the therapist uses hollow, organically treated bamboo canes which are either warmed or used at room temperature. The canes replace the therapist’s hands, and facilitate the ability to administer a very gentle, or a much deeper massage pressure (as preferred) with more precision and less effort.

Massage practitioners often use the whole arm from elbow to wrist at times during a massage session. The use of the bamboo canes mimics this technique, and offers long, deep pressure to be applied more areas of the body.

During bamboo massage, the therapist presses the tissue as if rolling out dough. Offering both pressure and a stretch simultaneously, which has the benefit of giving a more intense and thorough massage in less time. The bamboo canes can be combined with any other modality, for example, deep tissue, gentle swedish, or even combined with hot stones.
