Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a system of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the nervous system with the structure of the Musculoskeletal system. A postural assessment, and treatment plan are created to address the client's Neuromuscular complaints.

NMT can improve/eliminate postural distortion due to poor postural mechanics or injury, biomechanical dysfunction due to an imbalance caused by habitual faulty movement or repetitive strain, ischemia caused from a lack of blood flow to soft tissues typically causing a sensitivity to touch, trigger points AKA rapid firing of nerve impulses into areas of the body which may be far from the actual site of pain, and nerve compression or entrapment - pressure on a nerve from bone, cartilage, or soft tissue, the most common type of pain.
